Content Marketing

Is content marketing still worth it and reliable for getting clients, or is it broken now?

Content marketing still works — what's broken is the old playbook. Generic SEO blog posts written for algorithms are dying as AI answers absorb them. Content built on a real point of view, distributed where buyers actually are, is more reliable than ever. The channel isn't broken; the commodity version of it is.

Is content marketing dead for SaaS — should an early-stage founder bother, or just focus on sales and talking to customers?

It's not dead, but at the earliest stage it's the wrong priority — and it's a false choice. Talking to customers and selling come first before product-market fit. But the founder posting what they learn from those conversations is nearly free and compounds, so it isn't 'content marketing vs. sales.' It's one feeding the other.
