As a founder, how did you solve distribution? 'Build something people want and distribution follows' — but it doesn't.

Distribution doesn't follow a good product automatically — that advice is survivorship bias. You solve it by treating distribution as a discipline you build in parallel with the product: pick one channel, show up consistently, and use founder-led content as the cheapest distribution you have.

Does building in public actually work, or does it just attract other founders instead of real buyers?

Building in public works, but the default version mostly attracts other founders. To reach buyers, post about their problems and outcomes — not your metrics, revenue screenshots, and startup journey, which are the parts that draw a founder audience.
